Still transforming Heathered faux farm House 2.0

So we revealed where the kitchen was at Christmas time in the last post. There are some other changes since that I will reveal later. This house had a great floor plan but I had to really use the Heather vision to see the true potential. It was so blah and so freaking beige with…

About Me

Hi my name is Heather and I live in New Mexico, not a lot of farmhouses in Albuquerque to say the least. I spent the ten years collecting antiques and 1776 era Americana being from Michigan this was easy, not so much in NM. A few years ago I decided I really like the Farmhouse style and I started overhauling our home, my stuff and our whole freaking life ever since. One faux shiplap room at a time.

When I say overhaul I mean it I have donated, sold and given away enough stuff to furnish several homes. Yep I got issues! lol. Thank god for my hubby Mike a.k.a Miguel Hilly (a story for another day) a.k.a. @theheatheredhandyman I decided to break out of my comfort zone at my hubbies urging and created this blog. When I started about a year ago I had no social media except a Pinterest account, I didn’t even realize I had 36K monthly viewers I was just creating boards and posting projects. I love decorating and making rooms beautiful on the cheep! I want to share my ideas and style with you and the before and after photos that I think will amaze you.

I have fantastic ideas to make your home beautiful for not a lot of money. You can ask me anything because I think I’ve lived thru almost everything! I look forward to sharing more of my life, family, home and successes and failures along the way! keeping it real with my little Faux farmhouse! xoxo
